Berard, Civil Engineer II <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> 2002 Annual Inspection of the Lake Decatur Dam <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> City staff recommends that Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing an engineering <br /> services agreement with Montgomery Watson Harza (MWH) to conduct the 2002 annual <br /> inspection of the Lake Decatur Dam for a lump sum price of$6,800. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Office of Water Resources, requires an annual <br /> dam inspection and report submittal. MWH is highly experienced with dam design, construction <br /> and repair. The firm also developed the bid plans and specifications for the City's 2001 dam <br /> rehabilitation project.
