Perry,Purchasing Supervisor� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for hydrostatic crawler dozer � <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding a contract to Altorfer, Inc. <br /> to furnish a 2002 Caterpillar DSGLGP hydrostatic crawler dozer. <br /> BACKGROUND: This dozer is far the Lake Decatur dredging project. It will be used to lay �, <br /> and move the pipe which carries the dredged material to the sediment storage site. The dozer <br /> will also maintain the earthen berms at the sediment site as well. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: City staff wrote the bid specifications with assistance I� <br /> from Dredging Specialist, Inc. Water Management recommends approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Steve Yeager, Water Services Manager 875-5705, Keith Alexander, <br /> Water Management Director 424-2863. Keith Alexander will be at the meeting to answer any <br /> questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $106,256 from the Lake Capital Project Fund. <br />
