Perry,Purchasing Supervisor�Q <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for polyethylene pipe and fittings <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Forrer Supply <br /> Company to furnish high density polyethylene pipe and fittings. <br /> BACKGROUND: The pipe and fittings will be used for the Lake Decatur dredging project. <br /> The pipe will be laid along the ground and fused together to form a pipe line. The pipe line will <br /> carry the dredged material from the lake to the sediment storage site. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTI3ER SOURCES: City staff wrote the specifications with the assistance of <br /> Dredging Specialists, Inc. Water Management recommends approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Steve Yeager, Water Services Manager 875-5705, Keith Alexander, <br /> Water Management Director 424-2863. Keith Alexander will be at the meeting to answer any <br /> questions the City Council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $122,600 for 18"HDPE pipe <br /> $ 8,550 for 18" flanged adapters <br /> $ 948 for 18"45 degree fittings <br /> $ 632 for 18" 22 %2 degree fittings <br /> $ 3,792 for 18"bolt kits <br /> $ 2,700 for 18"back rings <br /> $139,222 total from Lake Decatur Capital Project Fund. <br />
