,� �G , �, ., , , AGREEMENT / L This Agreement is entered into and shall become effective on this / day of August, 2002, by and between Prairieland Towing, Inc., an Illinois corporation ("Prairieland"), and the City of Decatur, an Illinois municipal corporation (the"City"). RECITALS WHEREAS,Prairieland is in the business of providing towing and storage services for automobiles and related services; WHEREAS, the City, operating through its department of police, has need of towing and storage services for automobiles located within the corporate limits of the City, which requirement might arise from an automobile being involved in a collision, from an automobile being abandoned, from an automobile being parked illegally or unlawfully, from an automobile constituting a traffic hazard, from an automobile being impounded by the Decatur Police Department, from an automobile constituting evidence in a matter under investigation by the Decatur Police Department, from the operator of an automobile being taken into custody by the Decatur Police Department, or otherwise; WHEREAS, Prairieland presently maintains its principal place of business at 2902 North Woodford Street, Decatur, Illinois, which location includes the storage facilities of Prairieland as discussed later herein; WHEREAS, the City Council for the City authorized the entry into this Agreement at its meeting held on August�, 2002; WHEREAS, the duties and obligations of each of the parties hereto are binding and fully enforceable, with each party having full and complete authority to enter into this Agreement; and WHEREAS, the parties hereto desire to memorialize their agreement for Prairieland to provide the services described herein to the City, in exchange for the benefits provided hereunder.
