RESOLUTION NO. R2002-161 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING <br /> TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION OF <br /> MCDONALD AVENUE FROM SURREY LANE SOUTH TO TIMBER LANE <br /> AND OAKLAND AVENUE AS IT FRONTS HICKORY POINT ESTATES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur ("City") currently has jurisdiction and control over <br /> McDonald Avenue from Surrey Lane South to Timber Lane and Oakland Avenue as it fronts <br /> Hickory Point Estates, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to transfer jurisdiction thereof to the Village of Forsyth; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Village of Forsyth is willing to accept responsibilities of the two roads <br /> located within the City of Decatur. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the transfer of jurisdiction of the following streets, as described in the <br /> agreement, copy of which is attached hereto, and they are hereby, added to, and made part of, the <br /> Village of Forsykh, Macon County, Illinois. <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to sign the <br /> Jurisdictional Transfer Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A, regarding transfer of jurisdiction <br /> of the highway from the City to the Village, and he is hereby further authorized and directed to <br /> sign any additional documents required to effect the jurisdictional transfers approved herein. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 19th day of August, 2002. <br /> / <br /> T RR .
