E., City Engineer��n <br /> SUBJECT: Water Service Agreement for 2580 South Forest Crest Road <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution authorizing a <br /> Water Service Agreement between the City of Decatur and the property owner for 2580 South , <br /> Forest Crest Road. I <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> This spring the City extended a 12 inch water main down Taylorville Road (Illinois Route 48) � <br />, and Forest Crest Drive as part of a phased approach toward creating a water main interconnection <br /> on the south side of the City between Route 48 and Route 51. The goal is to increase the stability <br /> and reliability of overall water service in the area by creating additional connections into the <br /> main City water system. As is typical with these extensions, residents along this water line <br /> periodically request permission to tap into the new line to service their properties which are <br /> located outside of the City limits. To service these properties, a Water Service Agreement must <br /> be entered into between the City and the property owners. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections to this <br /> resolution and agreement. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br />
