Unless otherwise indicated in the description of
change, accompanying drawings and specifications, all work shall conform to the contract
documents. The Contractor is required to submit within 14 calendar days from the date herein a
proposal and a detailed breakdown for this change.
REASON for change:
Value engineering studies indicate fhat a flatter grade at the downsfream portion of the proposed
• riprap ditch improvement will permif fhe riprap gradation to be reduced in size from A4 to A3 for
approximafely 350'of the ditch. The revised gabion placement provides more stability in the
streambed layouf immediafely downstream of fhe existing 66"pipe culvert.
DESCRIPTION of change including reference to drawings and specifications revised, new
drawings and specifications issued:
The attached revised Plan Sheet No. 19 shows fhe proposed locations for the A3 gradation riprap and
the A4 gradation riprap. The A3 riprap shall be placed to provide an 8"minimum thickness wifh filfer
fabric. The A4 riprap shall be placed fo provide a 16"minimum thickness with an 8"minimum bedding
thickness and filfer fabric.
Because the new difch cross-section will vary in order to accommodate the varying cross-secfion of
the exisfing ditch, it is not possible to accurafely predict fhe quantities of riprap, bedding material, and
, filter fabric thaf will be required. For this reason, it is proposed that an accurate accounting of the
actual materials installed shall be maintained, and the payment for this work shall be defermined on a
unit cost basis for the acfual quantities installed.
SUB-CONTRACTORS affected b this chan e:
Y 9
None.
