The original location of the field office was designated to be in <br /> • the parking lot at the Sediment Pond as shown on Sheet 16 of the design drawings. <br /> However, upon our mobilization to the site, we determined that electrical utility service <br /> was unavailable at a reasonable cost. <br /> Our electrical subcontractor, ER Electric, Inc., provided us with a quotation of$12,550 to <br /> install a 1,300 ft. utility feed from the nearest power source. (See attached quote). Upon <br /> further discussion with Chastain & Associates, it was decided to relocate the field office to <br /> a location more accessible to utility service. The connection cost for hooking up the <br /> electric service at the new location cost $1,732.00 and the removal of this service upon <br /> completion will cost an additional $742.00 for a total cost of$2,474.00. The difference in <br /> these two estimates amounts to $10,076.00. We are proposing to split the cost saving with <br /> the Owner for allowing this change. <br /> We believe this change was beneficial to both the owner and the contractor.
