E., Director of Engineering & Infrastructure�y <br /> SUBJECT: Intergovernmental Agreement with the <br /> Sanitary District of Decatur <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by City staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution <br /> authorizing the Mayor to execute an intergovernmental agreement between the City and the <br /> Sanitary District of Decatur for the maintenance of pump stations. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Sanitary District of Decatur has been providing maintenance service to City sanitary sewer <br /> pump stations since 1988. The City in 1988 had 14 such pump stations and now has 17. <br /> These pump stations serve to collect wastewater flows from areas of the City that cannot drain <br /> by gravity to the District's interceptor sewers. The flows are then pumped under pressure to a <br /> District sewer and routed to the District's treatment plant. The City's 17 pump stations are as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. Allen Bend (120 South Shores Drive) <br /> 2. Brierwood (East Bridge) <br /> 3. Ellendale (3737 East Maynard) <br /> 4. Forrest Knolls (70 Forest Knolls) <br /> 5. Gray's Lane (116 Gray's Lane) <br /> 6. Green Oak (Twickingham) <br /> 7. H. P. South (4904 McDonald) <br /> 8. K-Mart (K-Mart southeast) <br /> 9. Nelson Park ( 2301 E. Lakeshore Drive) <br /> 10. Robinwood (Westdale north of Main) <br /> 11. Route 51 (Lone Star) <br /> 12. Shore Oaks (Dead-end of Shore Oaks) <br /> 13. Spring Creek (Miles Chevrolet) <br /> 14. Starr Crest (3070 Lynnwood) <br /> 15. Sunnyside <br /> 16. Taylor Avenue (King Street) <br /> 17. Woodridge (Taylor area) <br />
