OBJECTIVES
, 1. Provide safety and security for clients and staff.
2. Insure confidentiality for clients with increased space and a waiting room.
3. Increase the caseloads of the counseling program by 20% in the first year. I
Currently there are 10 counseling cases on tfie waiting list. These people often
cannot wait because the r
y a e experiencing crisis. The agency cannot hire staff
to meet these needs without providing them with office s ce. Catholic Charities '
Pa
is th '
e only agency in town that provides counseling on a sliding scale fee
schedule. If clients cannot pay for these services, donated or granted funds are
sou ht to cover them so that the can be hel
9 y ped.
4. Participate in counselor training in partnership with Millikin University of Decatur
and other nearby universities and colleges with the addition of the viewing
facility. Intem counselors can help meet the needs for counseling, too.
5. Allow the MedAssist program to fully develop. This program was formerly called
Prescription Medicine Program is currently located in donated space and will
benefit from being in the main office so that its staff can use copiers and other
office equipment and support staff. This program is intending to expand into
Moultrie and Douglas counties. With the space needs change and outreach we
believe this program could more than double in the persons it helps.
6. Improve stafF morale by the less crowded conditions. Staff will have an
adequate conference room instead of using part of the back entryway.
7. Provide improved parking for both staff and clients. This will be more convenient
for all as well as safer than on-street parking, especially at night.
