E., City Engineer y� <br /> • SUBJECT: Water Valve Relocation on Illinois Route 48 and on Illinois Route <br /> 121 - IDOT Letter Permit <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution authorizing a <br /> permit between the City of Decatur and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to <br /> work in State right-of-way. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> As part of the City's Water Main Valve Replacement Project authorized by the City Council on <br /> April 1, 2002, valves are scheduled to be replaced at two locations within State right of way. The <br /> work locations are throughout the City in the State right-of-way. <br /> Entler Excavating is currently under contract with the City to perform the valve replacement <br /> work. A permit is required between the City and the Illinois Department of Transportation in <br /> order for the City's contractor to complete the work located within State right of way. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections to this <br /> resolution and permit. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Illinois Department of Transportation <br />
