s •� II <br /> Apri19, 2002 I <br /> ENGINEERING & INFR.ASTRUCTURE MEMORANDUM <br /> NO. 2002-21 <br /> MEMORANDUM TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> FROM: Steve Garman, City Manager <br /> Stephen Swanson,Dir. of Engineering & Infrastructure <br /> SUBJECT: Central Park Fountain <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by City staff that the City Council approve payment to Architectural <br /> Expressions, LLP in the amount of $34,900.05 for services associated with the design and <br /> construction of the new Central Park fountain. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Architectural Expressions, LLP (AE) prepared the design of the new Central Park fountain. AE <br /> submitted to the City its second and final billing of$29,800 (copy attached) for design services. <br /> The first billing from AE for design services was $21,293.41 which the City has paid. The total <br /> design related fees for the fountain project are $51,093.41. <br /> Architectural Expressions, LLP (AE) is providing the construction services for the construction <br /> of the new Central Park fountain. AE has submitted to the City its first billing (copy attached) <br /> for services through March 29, 2002. Services performed in this billing period include <br /> conducting a pre-construction conference, reviewing and approving shop drawings, coordinating <br /> the layout of the new fountain with the contractor and observing the contractor's work. AE will <br /> be submitting future billings for its services as the project proceeds. The agreement with AE to <br /> provide these services is for an amount not to exceed of$15,000. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: <br /> There are no known obj ectors to this action. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Input on this matter was obtained from Lany Livergood Architectural Expressions, LLP. <br />
