Krieg , ssistant City Manage � <br /> Randy Johner Building Inspections ger,�/ ' <br /> � <br /> SUBJECT: Change to Chapter 68, Mechanical Code <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: The Building Inspections Department, with the <br /> recommendation from the Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Commission would like to <br /> request adoption of the changes to Chapter 68, Mechanical Code. The major change would be <br /> adoption of the 2000 International Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes. <br /> BACKGROUND: These codes were reviewed by staff and the Commission and it is felt that <br /> their adoption, with revisions noted, would be in the interest of building safety. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None we are aware of. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None other than already mentioned. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Randy 7ohner, Building Inspections Manager <br /> BUDGET/TIME <br /> IMPLICATIONS: Staff already in place for code enforcement; cost for code books budgeted <br /> for. <br />
