Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.) <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Willoughby <br /> Excavating, Inc. to remove asbestos, do necessary plumbing, terminate utilities and demolish the <br /> properties at 801-825 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. I <br /> BACKGROUND: These are commercial properties located in the redevelopment area. They <br /> are all city owned properties. <br /> The low bidder has submitted the necessary bonding to the City of Decatur for this work. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Neighborhood Services requested the demolition be <br /> done. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Dave Griffiths, Neighborhood Standards Administrator 424-2794, <br /> Deborah M. Perry, Purchasing Supervisor 424-2762. A. J. Kreiger will be at the council <br /> meeting to answer any questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $54,869 from Planning Fund. <br />
