Perry,Purchasing Supervisort�� <br /> � SUBJECT: Bids for HVAC System <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to King Lar to <br /> furnish one (1) Johnson Controls Metasys-Facilitator HVAC system retrofit at the Municipal <br /> Service Center Building. <br /> BACKGROUND: This retrofit will allow for thermostat set back to be done through the <br /> computer, which will be an energy savings. <br /> The system also has the capability to alert of possible problems such as a blower not working <br /> properly or a belt coming loose. This should avoid unexpected repairs. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: MSC Manager requested the retrofit and Forestry wrote <br /> the bid specifications. They recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Phil Wilhelm, MSC Manager 875-4820, Deborah M. Perry, Purchasing <br /> Supervisor 424-2762. Phil Wilhelm will be at the meeting to answer any questions the council <br /> may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $36,500 from General Capital Improvements Fund. <br />
