TRIAL PERIOD II'
The changes proposed in this report are intended to remain in effect for at least 6 months in order
to allow the changes time to be accepted or rejected. At least 6 months is needed to allow riders
time to try these changes, and to show whether they are what the public demands. For example,
a new route such as the Airport Plaza Express may not be an iminediate success, but it may build
up ridership over several months. If the route were to be judged after only 3 months, it might be
found to be a failure. But after 6 months, it might prove to be a success.
The costs and funding shown in this report relate to the cost of operating the changed routes and
schedules for the entire year. Therefore, if it is decided that these changes should remain in
effect after the end of the 6 month trial period, funding is available and already budgeted to do
so.
