Ste art, Transportation Planner
SUBJECT: Request to approve Decatur Urbanized Area Transportation Study's
Intergovernmental Agreement
SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution.
BACKGROUND: The Intergovernmental Agreement is an agreement that is required by the U.S.
Department of Transportation. In order for the Decatur Urbanized Area Transportation Study
(DUATS) to continue to receive federal and state funds, this document must be updated. The
Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is requiring all Metropolitan Planning Organizations
(MPO) in the state to update their Intergovernmental Agreements. Any future updates or amendments would be done by DUATS with the aid of City
staff.
POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objectors to this document.
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The DUATS Technical Committee approved the '
Intergovernmental Agreement on December 11, 2001. The Agreement was forwarded to the
DUATS Policy Committee, who then approved it on January 15, 2002.
STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Joselyn A. Stewart at ',
424-2782 or at jastewart(adecaturnet.org.
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None
