Newell, P.E., City Engineer�„� <br /> SUBJECT: MFT Resolution Authorizing the Allocation of Funds for the Purchase of <br /> Traffic Signal Controllers & Cabinets <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution authorizing the <br /> allocation of $22,425.00 in Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds to pay for the purchase of Traffic <br /> Signal Controllers and Cabinets, and that the Mayor by authorized to sign said resolution, and the <br /> City Clerk to attest. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> City staff is proposing the purchase of traffic signal controllers and cabinets that will be <br /> replacement units used in case of damage or as upgrades are required. <br /> The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) requires a resolution specifically authorizing <br /> the expenditure of funds from the City's MFT fund. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Illinois Department of Transportation <br />
