Alexander, Director of Water Management �/� <br /> Iv� <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> South Water Treatment Plant Nitrate Removal Facility Construction Change Order 5 <br /> City Project 9953 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing Change Order 5. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> After construction started on the nitrate removal facility, design work began on the second <br /> standby (emergency) electric generator to be installed at the South Water Treatment Plant. In <br /> order to accommodate both projects, electrical switchgear and distribution modifications are <br /> required for the nitrate removal facility. Council approval is required since the change order is in <br /> excess of$5,000.
