Alexander, Director of Water Management � � <br /> SUBJECT: I <br /> Lake Decatur Basin 6 Sediment Storage Site Engineering Services '� <br /> Supplemental Agreement No. 1 - City Project 9956 �' <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with <br /> Homer L. Chastain and Associates, LLP (Chastain) at a cost not to exceed $78,352. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> A mobilization and operations site is required to dredge Basin 6. City-owned property located <br /> between Star Route Road and the Lake is the best suited location far the site (see attached map). <br /> Required site improvements include gravel roadway, drainage ditches, erosion control, storage <br /> and work areas, mobile trailer office, parking, boat and barge dock, fencing, lighting, water and <br /> electrical services. <br /> The current Lake Decatur Basin 6 Sediment Storage Site Engineering Services Agreement with <br /> Chastain does not include these services. Therefore, a supplemental agreement is needed. This <br /> will increase the upper compensation limit of the original contract from $769,954 to $848,306. <br /> As of December 10, $544,045 (71%)has been expended on the original contract. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: <br /> None foreseen. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> City staff and dredge proj ect consultants. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: <br /> Keith D.
