' 4 The COMPANY shall maintain, for a minimum of 5 years after the completion of the contract, adequate books, records, and supporting documents to verify the amoum, recipients, and uses of all disbursements of funds passing in conjunction with the contract; the contract and all books, records, and supporting documents related to the cornract shall be available for review and audit by the CTTY or State of Illinois and the COMPANY agrees to cooperate fully with any audit conducted by the CITY and to provide full access to a11 relevant materials. Failure to maintain the books, records, and supporting documents required by this section sha11 establish a presumption in favor of the CTTY for the recovery of any funds pa.id by the CTTY under the contract for which adequate books, records, and supporting documentation are not available to support their purported disbursement. SECTION 7. The crossing interconnect system should be placed in service immediately after the installation of the traffic signal system is completed. The COMPANY shall notify the CITY in writing of the date of the completed installation. The CTTY will perform a final inspection upon receiving the written notification. SECT'ION 8. When construction of this project is completed, and so long as State law shall so require, the COMPANY shall maintain at its expense or, by agreemerrt with others, provide for maintenance of the railroad crossing interconnection devices. SECTION 9. If at any time subsequent to the completion of this improvement, the tracks in the azea of the crossing are eliminated for any reason whatsoever,then the said 'urterconnection system ma.y be removed, relocated and reinstalled at another grade crossing of the COMPANY mutually designated and agreed to by the parties hereto and subject to the approval of the public authorities having any jurisdiction. The reinstalled signal system sha11 thereafter be subject to the terms of this agreement.
