Newell, P.E., City Engineer �L��? <br /> SUBJECT: Wiley Drive Sanitary Sewer Repair, City Project 2001-53 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution awarding the <br /> contract for Wiley Drive Sanitary Sewer Repair, City Project 2001-53, to Bodine Services, Inc., <br /> as the lowest, responsible bidder in the amount of$23,850.00, and that the Mayor be authorized <br /> to execute the contract, and the City Clerk to attest. <br /> BACKGROUND: � <br /> As part of the Sanitary Sewer Trenchless Point Repair Project currently being contracted through <br /> Tele-Scan, Inc., it was discovered that portions of the 8 inch sanitary sewer pipe under Wiley <br /> Drive,just west of Northland Drive, have collapsed or are near collapse. City staff has prepared <br /> a project that will dig up and replace approximately 140 feet of sewer pipe. <br /> The project specifications were prepared by the Engineering Division.
