Perry, Purchasing Supervisor�,�Q <br /> � <br /> SUBJECT: Replace track segments and rollers for clarifier/basin at South Water Treatment <br /> Plant <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Christy Foltz to <br />' replace the track segments and supports, horizontal rollers, vertical rollers and assembly rollers. <br />' BACKGROUND: The new track, rollers, segments, etc. were approved for purchase by the City <br />' Council in February 2001. They were manufactured by Infilco Degremont Inc. and have been <br /> delivered to the South Water Treatment Plant. <br /> Christy Foltz will remove the old tracks and rollers and replace them with the new ones. They <br /> have provided the City with necessary bonding requirements. <br /> T r <br /> he e are four clanfiers/basins wrth rollers and eventually the other three will have to have the <br /> tracks and rollers replaced also. The Water Production Maintenance Supervisor anticipates the <br /> other tracks and rollers will be replaced over the next three years as capital projects. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Water Mana ement staff re uested the installation of the <br /> g q <br />� track and <br /> s rollers and they recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Rob Shirley, Water Production Manager 424-2866. Keith Alexander, <br /> Director of Water Management 424-2863 will be at the council meeting to answer questions the <br /> council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $31,872 from Water Capital Fund. <br />
