Geological Survey Joint Funding Agreement for Streamflow Gaging Stations <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the Joint Funding Agreement at a cost of <br /> $9,460.00. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The U. S. Geological Survey operates streamflow gaging stations on the Sangamon River at <br /> Monticello, Illinois, and the State Route 48 Bridge downstream of the Lake Decatur Dam. The I <br /> stations are essential for monitoring the amount of water entering and leaving Lake Decatur. For <br /> approximately 15 years, the City has participated in similar Joint Funding Agreements in order to <br /> provide adequate funding to operate the two stations. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: <br /> None foreseen. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> U.
