Perry,Purchasing Supervisor� <br /> SUBJEeT: Bids for mid size vehicle <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Northtown Ford <br /> to furnish one (1) 2001 Ford Taurus mid size vehicle. <br /> BACKGROUND: This vehicle will replace a 1997 Crown Victoria police pursuit vehicle <br /> driven by the Police Chief. The 1997 Crown Victoria will now be used as a police pursuit <br /> vehicle to replace a vehicle that was totaled in a recent traffic accident. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Police requested the vehicle and Fleet Maintenance <br /> wrote the bid specifications. Both recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Mike Mowen, Police Chief 424-2742, Tom Serfass, Fleet Maintenance <br /> Supervisor 875-5718, Deborah M. Perry,Purchasing Supervisor 424-2?62. <br /> BUDGET: $16,245 from Equipment Replacement Fund. <br />
