. � <br /> The main City of Decatur sites(Civic Center, Municipal Services Center, Fire Deparhnent <br /> Headquarters, Law Enforcement Center, Mass Transit Headquarters, and South Water Treatment <br /> Plant)will be connected as described herein using Cisco's Wireless Technology. Logical will <br /> provide, install, and configure the Cisco networking equipment detailed at E�ibit A and will <br /> manage the entire network migration project. Barbeck Communications will act as <br /> subcontractor to Logical to install towers and masts at each of the locations which require them. <br /> Barbeck will also be responsible for mounting the antennas on the towers and masts and ' <br /> providing the cabling from the antenna to the location of the wireless bridge. '�, <br /> A. Decatur Civic Center. The Civic Center will be the main hub site for the wireless network. , <br /> Two Cisco Aironet wireless bridges will be installed to communicate with the other sites in the <br /> network. A Cisco 3548XL-EN will be installed in the computer room at the Civic Center to <br /> provide Ethernet connectivity between the existing Token Ring switch and the wireless bridges <br /> and the Cisco 3640 which will also be installed as part of this project. The 3640 will be used to <br /> segment the network at the Civic Center using VLANs and will also provide the dial-up <br /> connections from the remote dial-up sites. Barbeck will mount the Aironet antennas on a treble <br /> flat roof sled mount on the Civic Center Roof,taking special precautions to ensure that the <br /> building roof warranty remains intact. <br /> B. Municipal Services Center. Barbeck will mount the antenna on the existing Police radio <br /> tower and run antenna cable down the tower to the radio shack at the bottom of the tower. The <br /> Aironet bridge will be located in the radio shack, and Barbeck will run a connection from the <br /> MSC remote closet to the radio shack to connect the bridge to the Cisco switch installed in the <br /> remote closet. A Cisco switch will be placed in the remote and main network closets and a <br /> connection will be run between the closets. This will provide 100MB switched capability to all <br /> clients at the MSC. <br /> C. Law Enforcement Center. Barbeck will mount the Aironet antenna on a flat roof sled <br /> mount on the roof of the Macon County Court House, and run the cable down to the network <br /> closet on the 6m floor. The Cisco Aironet bridge will be located in the 6th floor closet. A copper <br /> to fiber media converter will be installed to convert the bridge's 100 MB copper connection to <br /> fiber. The fiber from the 6th floor will be patched through to the first floor. A Cisco switch will <br /> be installed in closet 1 and 2 and will be connected together via a fiber optic path provided by the <br /> Public Building Commission. The connection from closet 3 will plug into the switch in closet 1. <br /> D. South Water Treatment Plant. Barbeck will install a 120 foot tower at the SWTP on the <br /> top of the building. The antenna cable will be run through the roof directly into the network <br /> closet. The bridge will be located in the network closet and will plug directly into the new Cisco <br /> switch purchased as part of this project. <br /> E. Fire Department Headquarters. Barbeck will install a 120 foot guyed tower next to the <br /> FDH and run the antenna cable down through an existing conduit into the utility closet on the <br /> 2nd floor.
