Stewart, Transportation Planner�. .� SUBJECT: Annexation of the premises commonly known as 396 West Hillshire Road SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opmion that the proposed annexation would produce a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as presented. � BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking annexation of the subject premises has been filed with the City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately 1.79 acres, the properiy is an undeveloped vacant lot. Annexation is requested for connection to City water. The properiy to the east is zoned R-1 Single Family Residence District; property to the north, south and west is in the County; when annexed the area will come into the city as R-1 Single Family Residence District. The following information is relevant to the area in question: 1. The parcel is vacant. 2. City water will be extended from Hillshire Road and Sherwood to the development. 3. Sanitary sewer is not available. 4. The average fire response time is nine (9)minutes. South Wheatland is the Fire Protection District. 5. Currently the street is unimproved. POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None. INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health Department and the Decatur Sanitary District.
