Ballinger requesting the vacation by the City Council of a pathway in the City of Decatur, Illinois described as: The pathway situated between Lots Four (4), Five (5), Thirteen(13) and Fourteen (14) of Radio Towers Subdivision, said pathway legally described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot Four (4), Block Two (2) of Radio Towers Subdivision, as per Plat recorded in Book 745 Page 244 of the records in the Recorder's Of�ice of Macon County, Illinois; thence East to the Northwest corner of Lot Five (5) of said Radio Towers Subdivision; thence South to the Southwest corner of Lot Fourteen (14) of said Radio Towers Subdivision; thence West to the Southeast corner of Lot Thirteen (13) of said Radio Towers Subdivision, thence North to the point of beginning; and, WHEREAS, said pathway is no longer usefizl to the public or to the City or to the owner of the property abutting thereon as an pathway; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said pathway and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOtS: Section 1. That the above descnbed pathway be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a ' public pathway inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest I will be subserved by such vacation, said pathway being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached I and hereby made a part hereof.
