. ., _ ' � ORDINANCE NO. 2003-51 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS SETTING OCTOBER 20, 2003 AS THE PUBLIC HEARING DAT� FOR A PROPOSED NEAR NORTH REDEVEILOPMENT PROJECT AREA, AND RELATED MATTERS WHEREA.S, the City Council (the "Corporate Authorities") of the City of Decatur, Illinois (the "Municipality") intends to undertake preliminary proceedings related to a proposed redevelopr.lent project area(the"Near North Redevelopment Project Area"(i.e.,the area generally described as: Beginning at the intersection of the north right-of-way of Grand Avenue and the west right-of-way of North Main Street (the beginning point), east along such n�rth right-of-way to the eastern right-of-way of the Illinois Central Railroad, south along such east right-of-way to the south right-of-way of Marietta Street,west along such south right-of-way to the east right-of-way of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, south along such east right-of-way to the south right-of-way of the Norfolk and Southern Railroad right-of-way,west along such south right-of-way to the west right-of-way of North Main Street, and finally north along such west right-of-way to the beginning point, all in the City of Decatur, in Macon County, Illinois in the Municipality under the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act (65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-1 et seq.)). NOW, T�IEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DE�ATUR,ILLINOIS, as follows: 1. The Corporate Authorities hereby set October 20, 2003 as the date for the public hearing under the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act for the proposed Near rorth Redevelopment Project Area, at 5:30 p.m. at the City Hall, 1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, in Decatur, Illinois, and further sets the joint review board meeting for September 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at City Hall, 1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, in Decatur,Illinois. 2. The appropriate officers, employees and representarives of the Municipality are hereby authorized to take such further and supplemental actions, including required notices preliminary to and in connection with the public hearing and the required joint review board meeting for the proposed Near North Redevelopment Project Area. 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately after its passage and approval.
