ADM Conditional Use Permit
August 7, 2003
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
2. Staff is of the opinion that the best interests of the City of Decatur would be served by
approving the Conditional Use Permit for the water treatment facility in the proposed
location. Staff recommends approval of the petition with the following condition:
a. ADM will screen the site with a landscaped berm and a grass buffer yard
(minimum of fifteen (15) feet)will be provided around the site and
b. A site plan will be submitted and approved by the Economic and Urban
Development Department and the Engineering and Infrastructure Deparhnent.
PLAN COMMISSION ACTION
3. The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Decatur requires that conditional use requests be
submitted to the Plan Commission for public hearing, study and report concerning the effect
of the proposed use on the comprehensive plan and compliance with ordinance standards. A
motion to forward the request of Cal. No. 03-37 to the City Council with a recommendation
of approval is suggested.
The above report constitutes the testimony and recommendation of the Planning Division,
Economic and Urban Development Department, City of Decatur.
Kathy J.
