ORDINANCE NO. 2003-47 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 7 - �F'FICERS AND EMPLOYEES GENERALLY- <br /> � CHA.PTER 18- FINANCE DEPARTMENT - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Chapter 7 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the <br /> same is hereby,modified and amended,by adding said Section 26 therein and thereto, as follows: <br /> 26. AUTHORIZATION. The City Manager, and those employees <br /> designated by said oi�cer, are authorized to expend Five Thousand Dollars <br /> ($5,000.00) or less for single items of personal property, parcels of real property, <br /> contracts for professional, technical or expert services or construction contracts, <br /> or for matters deemed in the best interests of the City as determined by the City <br /> Manager, without further approval of Council, but only if the Council has <br /> appropriated sufficient funds for said expenditures. <br /> Section 2. That said City Code be, and the same is hereby, further modified and amended <br /> at Section 4 (h) of Chapter 18, and as so amended, said Section 4(h) shall provide as follows: <br /> 4. DEPARTMENT DUTIES. (h) Purchase materials, equipment, and <br /> services in accordance with this City Code and the procedures, rules and <br /> regulations of the Department, provided that funds have been appropriated and are <br /> available for the purpose, and keep a record of all price quotations, bids and <br /> awards. <br />
