4 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2003-32 <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC <br /> LIQUOR ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AND <br /> IN CENTRAL PARK <br /> -DECATUR CELEBRATION- <br /> WHEREAS, the Decatur Celebration, a community summer festival of games, shows and <br /> food, will be held on the public streets and in Central Park in downtown Decatur beginning <br /> Friday, August 1, 2003, and continuing through Sunday, August 3, 2003; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Decatur Celebration to offer the following alcoholic <br /> beverages: Budweiser, Bud Light, Glacier Bay (various flavors), Doc's Hard Lemon, Bacardi <br /> Silver, and Sutter Home wine (various flavors), for sale to its patrons for consumption at the <br /> Celebration; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such consuxnption of alcoholic liquor on public rights-of-way and in Central <br /> Park requires the express approval of the City Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the Decatur <br /> Celebration and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be <br /> permitted for said limited time period. <br />
