Miller, AICP, Senior Planner k�ry� <br /> , � <br /> SUBJECT: St. Mary's Hospital, Revised O-1 Planned Unit Development <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the revised Planned Unit <br /> Development for St. Mary's Hospital. The addition to the medical office facility is consistent <br /> with the planned development previously approved. The Plan Commission reviewed the request <br /> at the March 6, 2003 meeting and recommended approval with a vote of 6 to 0. Plan <br /> Commission minutes are attached. <br /> BACKGROUND: In June of 2002, the Plan Commission recommended approval and the City <br /> Council approved a planned development for additional parking and a new office building at this <br /> location. Since that time, the hospital has determined a greater need than originally anticipated <br /> and is seeking approval of the addition of a third floor to the previously approved office building. <br /> The proposal will increase the size of the building from 27,500 to 37,500 square feet. <br /> In addition, the proposed parking lot configuration has changed slightly adding an additional row <br /> to the doctor's parking area which is segregated from the remainder of the parking lot with <br /> landscaping. The total number of parking spaces has not changed.
