RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR THE <br /> SHARING OF CERTAIN COSTS RELATED TO PROJECT COORDINATION AND <br /> CONSULTING SERVICES FOR TI�MACON COUNTY BELTWAY,AND FOR <br /> THOSE TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS CONNECTED TO OR ASSOCIATED <br /> WITH THE MACON COUNTY BELTWAY IN THE CITY OF DECATUR,MACON , <br /> COUNTY,ILLINOIS, BETWEEN THE CITY OF DECATUR AND THE COUNTY OF <br /> MACON,ILLINOIS ����D , <br /> RESOLUTION NO. H-1957-1-16 �A� � 5 �016 <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur intends to perform project coordination and consultinga-r=�H�N t�. BEArv <br /> services for the Macon County Beltway,and for those transportation projects conrr'e�ttfi4��K f��ACC�N COUNTY <br /> associated with the Macon County Beltway and desires that the County of Macon contribute to <br /> the cost of the improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur is desirous of contributing to the cost of the improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,the County of Macon is a body politic and corporate in the State of Illinois; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur is a body politic and corporate in the State of Illinois; and <br /> WHEREAS, the 1970 Illinois Constitution,Art. VII, Section 10 and 5 Illinois Compiled Statutes <br /> 220/3 provide authority for intergovernmental co-operation; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Decatur project coordination and consulting <br /> services for the Macon County Beltway,and for those transportation projects connected to or <br /> associated with the Macon County Beltway by the City of Decatur will be of benefit to the <br /> health, safety and welfare of the residents of Macon County; Illinois,and <br /> WHEREAS, the Chairman and Macon County Board believe project coordination and <br /> consulting services for the Macon County Beltway,and for those transportation projects <br /> connected to or associated with the Macon County Beltway,will benefit the health, safety and <br /> welfare of the residents of Macon County, Illinois. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual agreement attached to this resolution,the <br /> County of Macon agrees with the Intergovernmental Agreement for the Sharing of Certain Costs <br /> Related to project coordination and consulting services for the Macon County Beltway,and for <br /> those transportation projects connected to or associated with the Macon County Beltway as <br /> follows; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that this resolution sha11 become effective immediately upon <br /> the adoption thereof. <br />
