i� � <br /> � <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2002-112 <br /> AN ORDINANCE MAKING THE ANNUAL <br /> TAX LEVY FOR THE CITY OF DECATUR <br /> FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois is a home rule unit of local government as <br /> defined by, and having the powers enumerated in, the Constitution of the state of Illinois 1970, <br /> Article VII, Section 6(a); and <br /> WHEREAS, for the fiscal period for which levy is made hereby, the Council has duly <br /> appropriated amounts in excess of said levy for the objects and purposes shown by the copy of <br /> the Appropriation Ordinance hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That there is hereby levied upon all the taxable property within the corporate <br /> limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, as the same is taxed and equalized for State and County <br /> purposes for the fiscal year beginning with the 1 st day of May of 2002, and ending on the 30th <br /> day of April, 2003, the sum of Seven Million, Six Hundred Fourteen, Nine Hundred Seventy <br /> Two dollars ($7,614,972) the objects and purposes for which said sum is hereby levied and is <br /> apportioned among the several objects and purposes herein specified as follows: <br /> For the operation of Public Library Reading Rooms <br /> as the Library Fund $2,851,258 <br /> For Police Pension, as required by law 1,564,070 <br /> For Fire Pension, as required by law 1,707,994 <br />
