E., Director of Engineering & Infrastructure ', <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Prohibition of Parking on Both Sides of North I <br /> Union Boulevard <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the May, 2002 meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission approved a <br /> request from St. John's Lutheran Church to recommend the installation of No Parking signs of <br /> both sides of North Union Boulevard. This recommendation is aimed at increasing safety and <br /> decreasing congestion on that roadway from West Pythian to West Damon Streets. <br /> Ordinance No. 2002-55 had listed incorrect streets and the Ordinance attached repeals that <br /> Ordinance and corrects to read the proper streets. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objectors to this action. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Stephen Swanson, Director of Engineering & Infrastructure at <br /> 424-2747. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Budgetary impacts are approximately$300.00 for the <br /> installation of no parking signs.
