Forest Avenue <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance authorizing the installation of a <br /> handicapped parking space in front of 711 W. Forest Avenue. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the June 12, 2002 meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission <br /> approved a request from City staff to recommend the installation of a handicapped parking <br /> space at 711 W. Forest Avenue. This recommendation is aimed to assist the physically <br /> challenged person residing at that address. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objectors to this action. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747. <br /> The City Engineer, Matt Newell, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any <br /> questions of the Council on this item. � <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Budgetary impacts are approximately $200.00 for the <br /> installation of the required sign and defining the space on the street.
