Krieger, Assistant City Manager <br /> Randy 7ohner, Building Inspections na er ' <br /> SUBJECT: Chapter 69, Electrical Ordinance <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: The Building Inspections Division of Economic and <br /> the Economic and Urban Development Department with advice from the Electrical Commission <br /> would like to recommend adoption of the revised Chapter 69, Electrical Ordinance, which <br /> includes recognition of the 2002 National Electric Code as the City's model code. (Copy of <br /> revisions attached) <br /> BACKGROUND: Upon e�ensive review of Chapter 69 and the 2002 code City Staff and the <br /> Electrical Commission have reached the conclusion that it will be in the best interest of the City <br /> to adopt same in order to keep up to date with the most recent changes involving electrical safety. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None City Staff and the Electrical Commission are aware <br /> of. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Electrical commission. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Randy Johner, Building Inspections Manager <br /> BUDGET/TIME <br /> IMPLICATIONS: 2002 code books have already been purchased because of discounts offered <br /> early, therefore no additional cost is anticipated. <br />
