FEB 2 7 2002 Recc;dec �T� i��k�;�agE 419 �Y Q.�,� � Feo.�,�.��.�,,.�Recorder � ORDINANCE NO. 2002-10 ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY WEST GATE DRIVE NORTH OF RIDGEVIEW D�.t.�'�,' WHEREAS, a request has been received from Brad Doran and Joseph Robling, owners of property abutting thereon, requesting the vacation by the City Council of that portion of Public Right of Way in the City of Decatur, Illinois described as: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot Five (5) of Hall and Bray Addition, as per Plat recorded in Book 982 Page 119 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois; thence 50 feet East to the Southwest comer of Lot Four (4) of said Ha11 and Bray Addition; thence 200 feet North to the Northwest corner of said Lot Four (4); thence 50 feet West to the Northeast corner of said Lot Five(5); thence 200 feet South to the point of beginning; and, WHEREAS, said portion of public right of way is no longer useful to the public or to the City or to the owner of the property abutting thereon; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of public right of way and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above described portion of public right of way be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public right of way inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of public right of way being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof.
