Macon Co�nty 5S Csrtitv <br /> Thet This InAtrulnellt`�Ins Fiied For <br /> Fdacor�4 Ai .W_.�..a.Q.:,�Q_.�s. - - -�--=--� <br /> FEB 2 7 2002 <br /> R�cordgd in �ook�Page4�� <br /> � 2,.ti,�o�Q.� <br /> ��� Kec�rd�a <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2002-02 <br /> AN ORDINANCE VACATING RIGHT OF WAY <br /> - 200 BLOCK WEST NORTH STREET - <br /> WHEREAS, a request has been received from First United Methodist Church requesting <br /> vacation by the City Council of right of way located in the 200 Block of West North Street, said <br /> right of way being more particularly described as follows: <br /> The South 17.67 feet of the West 155 feet of the East 199 feet of West <br /> North Street lying North of and adjoining Lots 1, 22, 23 and 24 in Block <br /> Seven (7) of William Bandy's Addition, as per Plat recorded in Book G <br /> Page 30 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, said right of way is no longer useful to the public or to the City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said right of way and the <br /> public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said right of <br /> way. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the above described right of way be, and the same is hereby, vacated as <br /> right of way inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest <br /> will be subserved by such vacation, said right of way being shown on the plat thereof hereto <br /> attached and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 2. That there is hereby reserved in, over, along and under the above-described <br /> right of way to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and to the public and to those utilities and companies <br /> as the case may be owning public service facilities,mains, sewers, telephone and electric or other <br /> public utilities, such property, rights of way and easements as are or may be necessary or <br />
