Macon Co�nty 5S Csrtitv Thet This InAtrulnellt`�Ins Fiied For Fdacor�4 Ai .W_.�..a.Q.:,�Q_.�s. - - -�--=--� FEB 2 7 2002 R�cordgd in �ook�Page4�� � 2,.ti,�o�Q.� �� Kec�rd�a ORDINANCE NO. 2002-02 AN ORDINANCE VACATING RIGHT OF WAY - 200 BLOCK WEST NORTH STREET - WHEREAS, a request has been received from First United Methodist Church requesting vacation by the City Council of right of way located in the 200 Block of West North Street, said right of way being more particularly described as follows: The South 17.67 feet of the West 155 feet of the East 199 feet of West North Street lying North of and adjoining Lots 1, 22, 23 and 24 in Block Seven (7) of William Bandy's Addition, as per Plat recorded in Book G Page 30 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois; and, WHEREAS, said right of way is no longer useful to the public or to the City; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said right of way and the public will be relieved from any further burden or responsibility for maintaining said right of way. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above described right of way be, and the same is hereby, vacated as right of way inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said right of way being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2. That there is hereby reserved in, over, along and under the above-described right of way to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and to the public and to those utilities and companies as the case may be owning public service facilities,mains, sewers, telephone and electric or other public utilities, such property, rights of way and easements as are or may be necessary or
