',+ •, I'��J `;_'�C{, ��'..� 1 . � �iG2 - � � �� , � z c�� ORDINANCE NO. 2001-82 ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF STREETS -2200 BLOCK NORTH UNION STREET - -300 - 500 BLOCKS WEST HAY STREET - WHEREAS, a request has been received from Decatur Memorial Health Foundation requesting the vacation by the City Council of a portion of North Union Street and West Hay Street,being more particularly described as follows: The West Hay Street right-of-way between the East right-of-way line of North Monroe Street and the West right-of-way line of North Union Street; and The North Union Street right-of-way between the South right-of-way line of West Hay Street extended East and the North right-of-way line of Kenwood Avenue extended West. WHEREAS, said portion of said streets are no longer useful to the public or to the City; and, ' WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said streets ' v r n ibili of maintainin the and the pubhc will be relie ed from the further burden and espo s ty g same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above described portion of said streets be, and the same are hereby, vacated as public streets inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of said streets being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof.
