Brueks Addition (Book 22, Page 542) and Lot 11 of Block 1 of A. E. Kinneys 1 st Addition Book 22, Page 439 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois; and, WHEREAS, said portion of alley is no longer useful to the public or to the City or to the owner of the properly abutting thereon as an alley; and, � WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of alley and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED B�THE CTTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above described portion of a11ey be, and the same is hereby, vacated as a public alley inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said portion of a11ey being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2. That the benefits which will be accrued to the owner of abutting property by reason of the vacation aforesaid is determined to be, in the judgment of the Council, equal to the sum of Seven Hundred Dollars($700.00).
