Newell, City Engineer s��t� <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Prohibition of Parking on the South Side of the <br /> 1100 Block of East Orchard Street <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the April 2001 meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission approved a <br /> request from the Wee Folk, Inc. day care center and City staff to recommend the installation of a <br /> No Parking Zone at the subject location. This recommendation is aimed at increasing safety and <br /> decreasing congestion on the 1100 block of East Orchard Street. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: No Objections are anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747 <br />
