TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION <br /> Wednesday, April l lth, 2001 <br /> Engineering &Infrastructure Conference Room <br /> Third Floor, Civic Center <br /> ITEM # 3 Staff request for stop signs at the intersection of East Johns Avenue and <br /> Stone Street. <br /> Matt Newell stated that for the three years studied, the accident rate for this intersection was 3.97 <br /> accidents per million vehicles entering the intersection. This is significantly higher than the <br /> expected rate of 1.5 accidents per million vehicles entering the intersection. The intersection is <br /> experiencing more accidents than would normally be expected. <br /> Staff recommends that stop signs be placed at the interscction of Johns Avenue and Stone Street, <br /> facing Johns Avenue. <br /> It was moved and seconded (BelUWenneger) to accept staff recommendations that stop signs be <br /> placed at Johns Avenue and Stone Street, facing Johns Avenue. There being no opposition, the <br /> motion carried. <br />
