TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION Wednesday, April l lth, 2001 Engineering &Infrastructure Conference Room Third Floor, Civic Center ITEM # 3 Staff request for stop signs at the intersection of East Johns Avenue and Stone Street. Matt Newell stated that for the three years studied, the accident rate for this intersection was 3.97 accidents per million vehicles entering the intersection. This is significantly higher than the expected rate of 1.5 accidents per million vehicles entering the intersection. The intersection is experiencing more accidents than would normally be expected. Staff recommends that stop signs be placed at the interscction of Johns Avenue and Stone Street, facing Johns Avenue. It was moved and seconded (BelUWenneger) to accept staff recommendations that stop signs be placed at Johns Avenue and Stone Street, facing Johns Avenue. There being no opposition, the motion carried.
