f• � <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2001-21 <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGE OF <br /> SANITARY SEWAGE AND INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER INTO <br /> STORM SEWERS OR DRAINAGE FACILITY CONSTRUCTED IN <br /> CONJUNCTION WITH IMPROVEMENT OF U.S.ROUTE 51 AND <br /> IL 105 .IN THE CITY OF DECATUR.ILLINOIS <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, through its Department of Transportation and the City <br /> of Decatur, a municipal corporation, have entered into an Agreement for the improvement of <br /> U.S. Route 51 Business and IL 105 (South Main Street, Franklin Street, Lake Shore Drive, and <br /> South Shores Drive),known as State Section 48((X-1,2)RS,K-RS-1) and 128 I-1; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this improvement includes the conshuction of storm water sewers and/or <br /> appurtenances for highway drainage. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to connect, or cause to <br /> be connected, any drain carrying or to carry any toilet, sink, basement, septic tank, cesspool, <br /> industrial waste or any fixture or device discharging polluting substances into any storm sewers <br /> constructed as part of this improvement. <br /> Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating this ordinance shall be fined not less <br /> than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense, and a <br /> separate offense shall be deemed committed for each and every day during which a violation <br /> continues or exists. <br /> Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage, approval and <br /> publication as provided by law. <br />
