Newell, P.E., City Engineer.yGr.l�( <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Removal of Yield Signs and the Establishment of <br /> Stop Signs at the Intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Silas Street <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the Ordinance. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the February 2001 meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission approved <br /> a request from City staff to recommend the installation of stop signs at the intersection of Lincoln <br /> Avenue and Silas Street. This recommendation is aimed at reducing accidents at the intersection. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this ordinance. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, City Engineer at 424-2747 <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budgetary impacts are approximately$200 for the installation and removal of signs. If <br /> authorized by Council, this work will be completed as soon as possible. <br /> Attach: 3 <br />
