Alexander, Director of Water Management <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Ordinance Amending City Code, Chapter 64 -Water Service. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: ' <br /> Staff recommends approval of language changes in Chapter 64 - Water Service. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Attached are changes in Chapter 64 of the City Code - Water Service. These changes, in <br /> language only, are required to qualify for the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency <br /> low-interest loan for the ion-exchange nitrate removal facility. Nothing in the changes require <br /> new operating procedures and the City has in the past and is now in compliance with the <br /> language. These changes have no effect on the present water rates, nor affect any changes in <br /> future water rates. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: <br /> None anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> None, other than the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: <br /> John A.
