� ' . <br /> EXCERPTS FROM <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br /> OF THE , <br /> TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION <br /> Wednesday, October 11, 2000 <br /> ITEM #3 Request for stop signs at the intersection of Dunham and King Streets. <br /> Newell advised that he received a request for yield signs, but he changed it to stop signs at <br /> Dunham and King Streets. There was one accident in 1999 and one every three years, which is <br /> more accidents than should be at an intersection such as this. The sight distance is cluttered and <br /> it is unlikely that will change. Staff recommends that stop signs be installed on King Street <br /> facing Dunham. He sent a letter to the petitioner, but she is not present at this meeting. The <br /> petition did not request placing the sign on one street or the other. However, the significantly <br /> less-traveled street is Dunham. <br /> Moore stated that it makes sense to put stop signs instead of yield signs. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Moore / Gillen) to accept staff recommendation to place stop signs <br /> at the intersection of Dunham and King Streets facing Dunham. There being no one opposed,the <br /> motion carried. <br />
