Newell, P.E., Traffic Engineer�� <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Restricting Parking on the 1200 Block of West Wood <br /> Street <br /> An item on the agenda for the November 6, 2000, City Council Meeting is the approval <br /> of a parking prohibition on both sides of West Wood Street from Fairview Avenue, east to the <br /> Norfolk and Southern Railroad right-of-way. <br /> At the October meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission, the Commission <br /> approved a request from Millikin University to recommend prohibiting parking on the subject <br /> portion of Wood Street. The general concern is related to providing maximum sight distance to <br /> the various parking lot access points in this area. All properiy owners along this portion of Wood <br /> Street are in agreement with this request. <br /> Staff will be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> Attach: 3 <br />
