� I <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2000-96 I <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 69 - <br /> -ELECTRICAL CODE - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section l. That Chapter 69 of the City Code of the City of Decatur be, and the same is <br /> hereby, amended and modified at Sections 2, 9 A, 10 A (1) and (4), and 10 B 4 (h) thereof, so <br /> that said Sections 2, 9 A, 10 A(1) and(4), and 10 B 4 (h) as amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 2. ELECTRICAL CODE. The same having been duly placed and <br /> remained on file as required by law, and subject to the additions, modifications, <br /> changes or deletions set out in this Chapter, the National Electrical Code, 1999 <br /> Edition of the National Fire Protection Association, the same being found and <br /> declared by the Council to be regulations as defined by applicable statute, is <br /> hereby adopted by reference and the same to be known, and which may be cited, <br /> as "The Electrical Code" of the City, and which shall have the scope and <br /> applicability as therein set out, except as modified by the provisions of this <br /> Chapter. <br /> 9. UTILITY SPECIFICATIONS. <br /> A. All newly installed electrical services sha11 be in conformance with "Electrical <br /> Meter Standards for Electrical Contractors," effective January 1, 1999 by Illinois <br /> Power,unless otherwise provided herein. <br /> 10. CODE APPLICATIONS- SPECIFIC. <br /> A. New buildings of all types: <br /> 1) The 1999 edition of the National Electrical Code written by the Fire <br /> Protection Association will be the accepted code for all electrical wiring <br /> installations with the exception of Article 230-70 (a) "Location of service <br /> disconnecting means."
